Risk Manager for the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)
Tiffani is a Risk Manager for the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), overseeing the workers’ compensation program. She has been in the workers’ compensation industry for 15 years. She started her career as a claims adjuster trainee at F.A. Richard & Associates. As a trainee, she successfully passed the State of California, Self-Insurance Administrator’s examination and was promoted to a claims adjuster. She went on to becoming an adjuster at Sedgwick, then adjusting self-insured and self-administered claims at Macy’s Corporate Services.
Tiffani had the desire to serve the public; so she continued her career as a workers’ compensation analyst for the City of Los Angeles. Shortly after, she was promoted to a supervisor, and now a risk manager for LAWA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from California State University, Long Beach and her master’s in public administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She also possesses a Workers’ Compensation Claims Professional designation and is currently pursuing her associate in risk management credential from The Institutes.
Tiffani volunteers as a mentor for the NextGen Mentorship Program at LAWA. She is also a member of Pi Alpha Alpha Public Administration Honor Society and the Los Angeles Association of Black Personnel. Tiffani has a passion for and a commitment to helping others, making her the perfect addition to AAWCP’s community service committee.
