Christyn Richardson is a partner at Michael Sullivan & Associates in their Northern CA offices. She represents self-insured employers, third-party administrators, corporations, and public entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation. Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Christyn got her start in the industry at Dimaculangan & Associates, Staff Counsel for Travelers Insurance in Orange, CA.
Christyn received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California Irvine School of Law, where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Award for excellence in the Law & Popular Culture class. She also received Dean’s Merit, Raymond Bernard Scharf II and Development Corporation scholarships. During her time at UCI Law, Christyn volunteered with the Orange County ACLU’s Gang Injunction Project, Orange County Public Defender, A New Way of Life and Clean Slate Expungement Clinics. She was a law clerk at the California Public Utilities Commission and a member of UCI Law’s Immigrant Rights Clinic, where she represented clients in bond hearings and worked on the clinic’s Gang Injunction Project.
Christyn served as the 2014-2015 UC Irvine Black Law Students’ Association (BLSA) Co-Chair, 2014-2015 Western Region BLSA (WRBLSA) Southern California Sub-Regional Director, and as the 2015-2016 Western Regional Chair, winning the National BLSA Region of the Year Award. Christyn continues to serve WRBLSA as a member of the Advisory Board. In 2018 and 2019, Christyn was the Secretary of the Thurgood Marshall Bar Association.
Christyn received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside, where she was a member of the Chancellor’s List and the Dean’s List. She served as a mentor for Reach Out!, a community-strengthening organization, a Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and was active in the Miss California Organization.
With AAWCP, she has proven herself to be dedicated to the mission and willing to roll up her sleeves to get the job done. She organized AAWCP’s first Northern California event and plans many more to come. She is will be an integral part of our mission going forward as we expand past Southern California into Northern California and beyond… We are more than fortunate to have Christyn’s skillset and experience as part of our leadership team!
