Avonnee Diggs began her insurance career in 2001 as an office processor for an auto insurance brokerage. Upon graduating from Sacramento Statement University in 2004, she officially started her claims management career in long-term disability at The Hartford. In 2010 Avonnee transitioned to Workers Compensation claims and has successfully grown her career from senior adjuster to team manager, then onward to WC & insurance manager for a Silicon Valley start-up, and currently she is a director of operations and loss control with a top 5 national brokerage.
Along the way Avonnee has obtained her P&C, DIA, SIP, AIC and CRM certifications. In her free time she loves to cook and spend time with family. She is an avid encourager of people and is eager to share the field of insurance with a new generation of people, especially those from underserved communities who do not know what opportunities a career in insurance can offer.
She is excited to sit on the AAWCP board and help build a more diverse and inclusive WC and insurance community.
